Really, truly green.
We are fully equipped as a professional wet cleaner. This is the process endorsed by Greenpeace, Sierra Club, Natural Defense Council and other environmental advocacy groups. If the environment is your number on concern, simply ask us to mark your account --'wetclean only. It is greener than organic, CO2 or silicone. In fact, it's so green, the new EPA administrator Lisa Jackson has made it her number one choice.
Or-you can trust us to make the best decision for the environment and your garment. For the items wet cleaning is not suitable for, we also have a full dry cleaning department, atmospheric exposures to many levels!
As owners and front line operators of our own dry cleaning facility, workplace and client safety are our foremost concerns. As a result we have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the equipment and training.
So what's a citizen to do?
-
Select a cleaners who is transparent in what he is using and how he is using it.
-
Be doubly suspicious of cleaners who tell you they operate a 'chemical free' operation. It can't be done unless they are press only--in other words they don't actually clean the clothes.
-
Engage your cleaner in a conversation about how the pros and cons of various processes, which ones he/she uses and what environmental initiatives he has implemented. If she/he can't answer your questions in a forthright and knowledgeable manner---find a new cleaner.
-
Don't be taken in by a cleaner's claims that he is 'organic'. As CBS News reported in a recent expose, organic cleaning fluids are as 'green' as gasoline. There organic claims are based on the solvent containing carbon---nothing more than that!

Feel free to ask us anything, anytime. We believe you should know as much as you want to know about what we do.
